I feel like a mother writing this entry.

So a couple of weeks ago, two twin girls Isabella and Sophia joined my morning group swim lesson.  I think they're 5 or 6 or something.  Anyways, they both cried a lot, wanted their mommy, that whole bit.  They were both super shy and we couldn't even get them to put their faces in the water.

Today, I felt a tap on my arm and there was Sophia with a big grin on her face.  I turned to look at her and she just goes and dunks her whole head in the water.  Gaspu!  Later in the lesson, I felt a tap again and there's Sophia again.  This time, when I turned to look at her she friggin started swimming!  Swimming!!  Two weeks ago, the two of them were too scared to even get in the water, and now Sophia is swimming away!

I can't take all the credit because there are four instructors in the class, but...the babies are learning!

so update on the arm: they had to cut it and drain it, then stuff it with gauze.  gross.  then it swelled up to the size of a melon.  but now i'm ok, for the most part.  cbs is going pretty awesome and i'm learning a lot.  it's the perfect mix of the entertainment industry and business.  also, i started swim instructing.  i hate to sound like a girl, but some of those kids are...cute.  i mean...manly.

and i'm going to hawaii at the end of the summer!  i'm friggin excited; i've never gone before, and i get to go with el piperoni.

i'm not sober.

[edit] i don't have my camera because i broke my friend's and i loaned mine to her.

so a couple of days ago i got a bug bite.  no big deal.  then my arm began to swell.  oh...not good.  then today, it began to hurt A LOT.  like, excruciating pain hurt.  like, i couldn't move my left side and my arm looked like popeye's.  so i decided that maybe i should see a doctor.  i found out that it was a bacterial infection, so they gave me two shots of antibiotics.  IN THE ASS.  one in each ass cheek.  yeah, that fucking hurt.  well, that's my ass story of the week.

So I had to give some lady first aid the other day and have EMS called in.  It may have been a little unnecessary, but whatever.  Finally, I'm starting to earn my keep.

This is turning out to be one of the best summers ever.  The only summer that tops this one is eurotour 2004.  I haven't had a dull day since it's started.  I've been to some kicking awesome concerts, lifeguard parties galore (milkshakes on the balcony and Pia's being the best), and general coolness.  Today we stayed about 2 hours after the pool closed to do dumb shit off the diving boards and raid the kitchen.   I wish I had my camera, because lifeguards are the coolest people ever.  CBS is going well; mostly bitchwork but I get to go to presentations and meetings and such.  Also, they gave me a cool DVD which I probably can't talk about.

I guess there are other things I could add but I don't want to.  Neways, summer is a blast and I don't want it to end.

So I had my first ever rescue today.  It wasn't anything big; there was a kid about 6 years old who was struggling to get to the wall and he was crying and choking a little bit and I jumped in and pulled him out.  Well, finally I've done something other than yell and hand out band-aids.  Cool.  Or somesing.
